Global Grace Connect (the “ministry”) is a SCIO registered with the Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR). We are the data controller for the personal information you provide through this website and its associated services.
2. What data we collect
- Contact details: your name and email address when you sign up for the devotional, newsletter, or contact us.
- Order information: your name, shipping address, and email address when you purchase a devotional book or apparel, collected via our secure checkout provider (Base44 Payments / Wix).
- Correspondence: any messages you send to our official ministry inbox.
- Usage data: anonymous analytics (via Google Analytics 4) such as pages visited and approximate location, used to improve our content.
3. Why we use your data
- To deliver the devotional content and ministry updates you request.
- To fulfil and ship your orders and send you an order receipt.
- To respond to your messages and prayer requests.
- To understand how the site is used and improve our outreach.
4. Legal basis (UK GDPR)
We process your data under consent (for newsletters and devotionals), contract (for order fulfilment), and legitimate interests (for analytics and essential communications). You may withdraw consent at any time.
5. Who we share your data with
- Base44 Payments / Wix — secure checkout and payment processing.
- Lulu Direct — print-on-demand fulfilment of your devotional book.
- Resend — delivery of order confirmation and receipt emails.
- Google Analytics — aggregated, anonymised site statistics.
We never sell your data. We only share what is necessary to provide the service you requested.
6. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for the period required by accounting and tax law. Mailing list data is kept until you unsubscribe. You can request deletion at any time (see below).
7. Your rights
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent for marketing and devotional emails at any time.
- Lodge a complaint with the ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) if you are in the UK.
8. Cookies
This website uses cookies. Essential cookies keep the site working (such as remembering your cookie choice). Analytics cookies(via Google Analytics 4) are optional and, when you accept them, help us understand which devotionals and pages are most read so we can improve our outreach.
- When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies.
- You may change your choice at any time by clearing site storage in your browser and reloading the page.
- Declining analytics cookies does not affect your access to devotional content or the shop.
9. Children & age
The ministry is intended for a general audience. Content is written for adults and young people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International transfers
Some of our processors (for example Lulu Direct and Google Analytics) may process data outside the UK. Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK International Data Transfer Agreements or the processor’s approved transfer mechanism.
11. Jurisdiction
This policy is governed by the law of Scotland. Any dispute arising from it or from the processing of your data may be referred to the ICO and, where relevant, to the Scottish courts.
